IT Analyst II

We need: A self-directed individual to join the Beaker General Lab Application Support Team, providing day-to-day support for Laboratory clients, with an understanding of our clients’ business processes. A clear communicator with experience translating customer needs into Beaker solutions. An analytic mind to solve problems and present solutions with a focus on Chemistry. A team player who values diverse stakeholder contributions. Analysts working with the Beaker Application Support Team provide troubleshooting, testing, configuration and integration support of order/result data to ensure the functioning of the Epic Beaker Laboratory Information System and related applications meets service level agreements. Work spans all levels of complexity from simple to very complex, including project leadership for small and medium projects. The successful candidate will actively participate in on-going support and development with respect to Beaker applications and may include after-hours call.
Description:
As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum educational requirement is a post-secondary diploma in an Information Technology related discipline or equivalent. or Minimum 3 years related experience preferred in a Clinical area such as laboratory technology, informatics or another medical field. Must have good presentation and technical writing skills. Must possess excellent customer relations and support service experience. Must have experience gaining cooperation of a variety of stakeholders, including management, clinicians, physicians, and coworkers.
Preferred Qualifications:Prefer completed Epic Beaker CP proficiency or certification (otherwise, must complete before working in the system). Prefer experience with Beaker and ancillary systems with external data dependencies. Prefer ability to guide staff in application testing, data/system analysis. Prefer knowledge of business systems analysis and problem resolution. Prefer ability to translate and document business needs to computing solutions, application configuration.
