Fairview


Discover a peaceful, small-town lifestyle in Fairview, located 560 km northwest of Edmonton. There’s a small lake at the edge of town, walking trails, and a variety of recreation options to choose from. Nearby historic Dunvegan offers scenic views, u-pick berries, and local heritage. Eligible for Northern Incentive.


Peace River


The Town of Peace River is situated along the unique valley carved by its namesake. This community is home to about 6,800 people and offers a vibrant multicultural community with a wide range of amateur sports, the arts, and social clubs, as well as Northern Incentive.

                                                       

Fort Vermilion


Did you know? The hamlet of Fort Vermilion is among Alberta’s oldest European settlements, and is also rich in Indigenous history. This small community of about 660 has the essential amenities for modern life and a slower-paced, peaceful rural lifestyle and is also eligible for the Northern Allowance.


Cardston


Cardston rests at the intersection of both the historic Cowboy Trail and Mormon trail, about 235 km southeast of Calgary. Discover rich culture and heritage of both Indigenous people and settlers, a wide variety of recreational options, and two national parks just an hour away.

Pincher Creek


You can see the Rocky Mountains rising west of the town of Pincher Creek, built on an old prospecting outpost about 220 km south of Calgary. Waterton Lakes National Park and Castle Mountain Ski Resort are both less than 60 km away, with plenty of recreational opportunities in town and nearby.


St. Paul


St. Paul is “A people kind of place,” located within Alberta’s lake country about 200 km east of Edmonton. With dozens of lakes to enjoy within a short distance, the 300-km multi-use Iron Horse Trail, local post-secondary and a variety of recreational options in town to suit a variety of interests.
