Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Accurate typing speed of 40 wpm required and testing done prior to interview. Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. Medical Terminology - certificate preferred. Minimum six (6) months recent switchboard experience in a large institution required. Demonstrated proficiency in the English language, both written and oral required. Must have excellent communication skills as there is a high degree of interaction with patients and a variety of disciplines at all levels of the organization. Ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment, including working under pressure, adapting and responding to changing priorities and meeting deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Able to work all shifts as operationally required.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience in a hospital environment is preferred. Recent customer service experience preferred.
