Relevant post-secondary education. A minimum of 3 years of progressively more responsible roles in healthcare and/or IT. A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical roles in the provision of healthcare and a strong working knowledge and intimate understanding of healthcare delivery. Working knowledge of Alberta Health Services operations and IT Technology Client Services function.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Expert Business Knowledge – provides the professional expertise and in-depth knowledge of the clinical, business, technical, and/or service areas to the Technology Client Support Services team they work with. A strategic advisor to both internal IT peers and external business clients about the business processes, IT applications, procedures, and content. Customer Advocacy – Consults on a regular basis with customer on IT strategies, anticipate customer needs; assesses requirements and identifies innovative solutions. Process Improvement – Formulates plans for continuous process improvement processes and innovations, documenting internal best practice, procedures, processes, and knowledge content to support ongoing maintenance and operations. Relationship Management – Anticipates business needs; assesses requirements and identifies innovative solutions. Uses understanding of the business to establish communicate technical/functional design requirements. Consults with business on IT strategies. Uses knowledge of AHS IT and business strategies to influence business thinking about IT strategy implications to their business process and goals. Project and Operational Leadership – support coordination of service delivered by other members of AHS-IT and the Technology Client Support Services team, such as user acceptance testing, implementation adoption, and training through complex and deep knowledge of business areas.
