The Senior Advisor will hold a Master’s Degree in a health- or quality-related field and bring a minimum of three years’ experience working in Indigenous health in Alberta or Canada. The SA will have experience and knowledge of Indigenous health, Ways of Knowing, relationship building/engagement/community-based approaches to research. The Senior Advisor will have a minimum of five years’ experience working with Indigenous People(s) to support: quality improvement, knowledge management, research and/or management. IWC is seeking experience in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred (healthcare experience an asset).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Strong technical writing skills and ability to translate complex projects to inform decision making. Experience in working directly with an Indigenous community(s).
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of distinction-based First Nation, Métis and/or Inuit research methodologies and sensitivity regarding the culture and health issues of Indigenous Peoples. Demonstrated skills and experience involving complex operational or priority projects is preferred. Ability to translate complex projects to inform decision making. Graphic design skills are considered an asset and on-the-job training will be made available to the successful applicant.
