Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 years’ experience in an acute medical nursing unit within the last 5 years is required. Candidate must be capable of meeting a medium physical demand level: 21-50 lbs. handled occasionally, 11-20 lbs. handled frequently, 0-10 lbs. handled constantly.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Cardiology preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred. Current telemetry certification preferred. Experience with family centered care preferred. Collaborative practice approach and philosophy preferred. Charge experience preferred. Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
