Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

2 years clinical trials experience. Experience with gastrointestinal cancer disease, diagnosis and treatment. Experience with the delivery of chemotherapy/biotherapy/cancer treatments, knowledge of mechanisms of action and their adverse event profiles. 2-3 years recent nursing experience in Medical/Radiation Oncology. Comprehensive patient assessment, management and intervention skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated time management and organization skills; flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple patients or projects. Effective oral and written communication. Excellent computer skills and experience using electronic medical charts or patient management systems. Applicants must be able to perform tasks that require standing, sitting, bending, stretching, and lifting. Patient assistance, pushing and pulling mobile computers or carts, and lifting boxes or equipment up to 40 lbs. may be required. Good Clinical Practice, ICH and Health Canada Regulatory training will be required if not current. Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate preparation. Clinical trials membership or certification (e.g., SoCRA, ACRP). Preference will be given to those with O-PREP or ONDEC oncology training.
