Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Formal Education: Minimum education requirements BScN. A minimum of 4 years of recent relevant Orthopedic experience. Experience in case management, including telephone assessment and advice required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills must be demonstrated through work history and references. Experience or education in Quality Improvement, Change management and patient safety required. Skills in data collection, analysis, and presentation required. Required walking up to a total of 2 hours per day, standing up to 3 hours per day, lifting > 10 lbs. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment. Flexible, creative, and able to adapt easily to a changing environment. Excellent computer skills – MS Office, Tandem, Netcare. Skilled in web-based communication and learning content management systems. Experience in project management, design, implementation and evaluation. Experience working with provincial committees and virtual teams. Experience in developing personalized/ specialized care plans. Experience in coordinating care and referrals to community services and specialized clinics. Proficiency in formal writing, including letters and referrals to physicians.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year FLS experience preferred.
