Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:3 - 5 year’s recent experience in acute inpatient or outpatient mental health, preferable with patients who have an eating disorder, and their families. Experience in facilitating group therapy. Experience dealing with the medical complications that could arise with eating disorders and be able to provide treatment as directed, assess potential difficulties, and respond to medical emergencies. Must have skills in psychiatric, and medical assessment and crisis intervention. Strong team skills, initiative, motivation, and self-starter. Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with patients, families, and team members. Strong computer skills is an asset. Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in Mental Health. Experience with group therapy. Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team. Experience with Eating Disorders preferred.
