This position requires a post-secondary degree specializing in accounting or related field and five (5) or more years of accounting or financial experience. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Additional Required Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills. Excellent technical skills in working with large complex spreadsheets. Practical experience in financial reporting, audit, policy development, change management and risk management. Effective communication & facilitation skills with strong organizational skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. In particular, the ability to write clearly and succinctly about complex issues and options. Uses strategic thinking, considering long-term goals assessing options and implications. Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Proven ability to foster partnerships and cooperation to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization and managing within a unionized sector that interacts with numerous public agencies, government, boards, committees, and other partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
Accounting experience preferably in health care or government setting. Professional accounting designation (CPA).
