Required Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree (Business Administration, Health Administration, or equivalent). Business Continuity Management or resilience certification (e.g., ABCP, CBCP, MBCI, AMBCI, CBCI). Four years demonstrated experience in BCM best practices, protocols and standards (as defined by BCI, DRI Canada, ISO 22301, etc.) and comfortable with facilitating and speaking to any aspect. Combinations of education and experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM) will also be considered. Experienced background in risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategic planning and plan development. Functional understanding and experience with broader business operations (e.g., Finance, HR, Marketing). Experience working in large, matrix-based organizations. Professional experience with operational risk and resilience, business process improvement methodology and risk related control frameworks and practices (e.g., ISO, CSA) – has awareness of current trends/practices in a fast-growing industry. Completion of ICS 100 and 200. Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex projects and proficiency in project and change management, conducting research and research analysis. Professional experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Solves problems – Accurately assesses situations, defines problems, devises alternatives, evaluates alternatives and recommends viable solutions. Remains patient – Demonstrates ability to retain focus and patience during interactions with other individuals, seeing the end goal/requirements and its importance, through extra support, delays, etc. Adapts – Flexible, versatile, resilient and tolerant in changing work environments, maintaining effectiveness and efficiency. Gets technology – Enough to perform day to day tasks (e.g., MS 365 / Office / SharePoint). Aspires for excellence and continued learning. Preferred - Certified in Change Management, Business Data and Process Analytics (CBAP, CBDA, Prosci Change Practioner, or other).


Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge / experience in IT Disaster Recovery Planning (ITDR). Master’s Degree desirable (Business Administration, Health Administration, etc.). Active ISO 22301 certification – Provisional, Implementer or equivalent. BCM Software admin experience (e.g., Fusion, RP, Castellan). Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
