Bachelor’s degree, diploma or certification from recognized institution in IT or equivalent. 8+ years of data protection leadership and experience in a large and complex IT environment. Proven experience in managing projects or initiatives, including demonstrated ability to guide the efforts of others, solid decision making, coaching and mentoring. Proven ability to foster relationships and partnerships with highly complex internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work with critical systems under tight timelines. Excellent analytical, problem solving, root cause analysis and critical thinking; in addition you should be able to manage a vendor’s support organization to expedite remediation efforts. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Excellent people skills as negotiation and conflict resolution skills are necessary. Ability to anticipate internal and external business and stakeholder needs.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Specialization and applied expert knowledge in data protection architecture and design with the following technologies: CommVault agent based and file-based backup/recovery, Intellisnap, integration with Database, VMware and storage array processes and technology. CommServ and Media Agents, storage targets like: disk-based, Data Domain or tape libraries. Strategy and best practices for: Disaster Recovery, offsite copies/replication, ransomware recovery NetApp, Isilon and Unity disk-based snapshots. Tape Libraries: HP and IBM, Data Domain. Experience in a health services or public sector environment, with an understanding of the alignment between business requirements and patient care services as well as the impacts internally and externally.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with reporting, monitoring, alerting and management tools for enterprise data protection systems. Knowledge of various enterprise data protection solutions, with the ability to align competitive features with business needs of AHS. ITIL foundation certification. Expertise in MS Office suite, including MS Project and Visio.
