Your Opportunity:

As a Senior Project Manager supporting the office of the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), you will be at the forefront of transforming healthcare delivery for one of the largest health systems in Canada. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Prescriber Experience in Digital Health, this is a pivotal leadership role that contributes to improving clinical outcomes and healthcare processes. You will help shape the future of medical informatics by defining strategic priorities, spearheading innovative projects, and championing quality improvement across the organization. Your work will balance the need for localized problem-solving with the drive for standardization across the health system, ensuring alignment with the broader strategic and operational objectives of Health Shared Services (HSS). This is a unique opportunity for a driven and visionary project manager to make a significant impact on the health outcomes of millions of Albertans, while working closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, IT experts, and clinical leaders. If you are passionate about healthcare innovation, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement, this role offers the platform to make a lasting difference.

Description:

The Senior Project Manager will bring advanced consulting expertise to a range of initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and effectiveness of clinical information systems within the organization. Leveraging your deep knowledge in quality improvement, design thinking, and project management, you will drive initiatives aligned with the Quadruple Aim—better care, improved patient and provider experiences, and better value. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities for innovation, developing actionable plans, and overseeing the implementation of those projects. As a recognized expert in project management and informatics, you will anticipate both internal and external challenges and offer strategic recommendations for service or process improvements. You will need to exercise independent judgment and employ a resourceful approach to problem-solving in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment. Collaboration is essential to this role; you will work closely with teams in Clinical Operations (COIO), Information Technology (IT), and various departments within the CMIO office. By fostering strong partnerships and leading cross-functional teams, you will ensure that projects are not only executed efficiently but also deliver measurable improvements in healthcare outcomes.
