Your Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join the IT Corporate Services portfolio within Health Shared Services. This senior, highly specialized role reports to the IT Corporate Services Projects Director and plays a critical part in shaping enterprise technology solutions and strategies. The Solution Architect provides advanced technical expertise and strategic leadership in the development of enterprise architecture, technology‑business roadmaps, and architectural standards. This role is responsible for designing and guiding complex solution architectures while ensuring alignment with the organization’s target architecture across a diverse portfolio of projects and initiatives. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Solution Architect leads architectural analysis and solution design activities, including early concept development, solution modeling, integration design, and the creation of architecture documentation across both Application and Technology Architecture domains. Working closely with business and IT stakeholders, the Solution Architect analyzes business requirements, evaluates solution options, and recommends architectures that align with organizational strategy, technical standards, and operational objectives. As a key contributor across major programs, smaller initiatives, and operational efforts, the Solution Architect supports preliminary analysis, defines solution concepts, outlines strategic options, contributes to RFP development and evaluation, and prepares architectural decision documentation to support governance processes and executive decision‑making.

Description:

60% Business, Application, Data and Technology Architecture Converts business strategy into technology direction. Develops and manages roadmaps for key business initiatives. Provides gap analysis, risk and impact assessment of IT solutions. Leads planning, documentation, and facilitation of application implementations, upgrades, and migrations to meet business requirements. 30% Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement Works closely with stakeholders to design, deliver, and maintain scalable business solutions. Influences investment and prioritization decisions, serving as a trusted advisor to leadership. Provides leadership and support for complex technical issues, ensuring proposed solutions are consistent, cost‑effective, and low‑risk. Technology Drives platform and infrastructure standardization and removes redundant or duplicative systems. Identifies technical debt and legacy risks. Evaluates and recommends tools related to system integration, application performance, and data archiving. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field Minimum 7 years Solution architecture experience in multi-tenant, highly available, and scalable ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified in TOGAF or other Enterprise Architecture frameworks Project management, broad range of industry-wide modelling techniques, ability to advise, coach and mentor. Business experience with Health Shared Services departments (such IT, Finance, CPSM, Capital Management, HPSP, Medical Affairs, and People, Legal & Privacy).
