IT Analyst II
Your Opportunity:
Alberta Health Services (AHS) has an exciting opportunity for an IT Analyst II, Oracle E-Business Suite support analyst. This temporary position works with a high degree of independence as part of a team of IT professionals supporting business users of Oracle E-Business Suite (E-BS) and Hyperion Planning. The primary focus of this position is E-BS financial module support and report development. Strong technical and problem-solving skills are required.
Description:
As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of five (5) years of experience with IT implementation and application support, preferably with Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (E-BS). An advanced working knowledge of Oracle E-BS. Experience with technical design and solution development within Oracle E-BS. Experience with PL/SQL in an Oracle E-BS environment. Experience with Oracle databases and Oracle developer tools (including Oracle Forms/Reports and XML Publisher) and methodologies. An understanding of data and data relationships within Oracle E-BS . Excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities. Ability to research technical problems and identify or create solutions that help resolve these technical problems. A strong team player who emphasizes team success. A hardworking, trustworthy, and accountable individual. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to actively build and maintain positive relationships with peers.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in an ITIL compliant environment. Experience with Hyperion Planning or ServiceNow would be an asset.
