Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:At least 3-5 years of progressive experience providing administrative and operational support to a Senior Leader. Demonstrates a high level of administrative competence, critical thinking and problem solving abilities. Comprehensive knowledge of academic medicine and the relationship between the University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and have advanced skills in Excel. Ability to type 60-70 words per minute. Demonstrated understanding of financial record keeping that is accurate and consistent. Must be able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities while still meeting deadlines. Must be able to exercise professionalism, judgement, tact and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential issues. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working in an education environment is highly desired.
