Your Opportunity:

As a team member of the Department of Clinical Engineering the Administrative Support III is responsible for the provision of secretarial, clerical, receptionist, dispatch, and routine administrative duties. Under the direction of a Clinical Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for a variety of clerical functions that support the smooth and efficient operation that provides service support to the highly specialized medical equipment throughout the hospitals within the Calgary Zone. Clinical Engineering is a support department with no direct patient care.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Five years of experience in a hospital setting or related area. Typing and computer skills with a focus on data entry in Excel and databases. Three months is required to learn the basic duties of the position. Physically capable of lifting 5lbs-20lbs on a regular basis. Typing skill of 60 WPM, and data entry skills. Above average computer knowledge. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organization skills. Must be able to use initiative, take responsibility, be proactive and flexible. Must be reliable, accurate and capable of working independently. Must be able to work under pressure and capable of setting and completing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with an equipment database preferred along with creating KPI reports.
