Administrative Support II
Your Opportunity:
This Administrative Support II position will provide routine administrative and clerical support to The Bone and Joint Ambulatory Clinics. Front desk clerk helps facilitate, manage, and prioritizes patient flow through the clinic, paying attention to the dynamics of the clinic. Responsibilities will include reception, patient registration and check in for an appointment, check in for x-ray as indicated by x-ray order and assisting with next day clinic prep. Additional clerical duties will include, filing of data & patient information, typing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, scanning, ordering supplies, mail distribution, answering and redirecting telephone calls. Effective communication between patients and other members of the multi-disciplinary team is essential. The incumbent must handle a fast-paced clinic while interacting and answering questions from the public in a professional manner. This position will also provide support to other clerical staff including break coverage, sick time and vacation coverage.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English. Computer knowledge using (Microsoft word, excel, office, outlook). Minimum 2 years administrative experience in a hospital/medical setting. Minimum 1 year experience using EPIC in an Ambulatory Clinic Setting. Completion of Connect Care Training - Basic Registration and Front Desk. Demonstrated organizational skills and competence in time-management. Adhere to AHC Code of Conduct & Patient Confidential Policies. Ability to work independently and multitask in an environment with frequent interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications:Medical Office Assistant certificate or Unit Clerk. Medical Terminology. Previous experience working in an Orthopedic setting. Knowledge of using Microsoft Sharepoint.
