Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 year experience working in an Ophthalmology Clinic in the last 3 years. Minimum 1 year experience providing administrative support in an outpatient/ambulatory setting within the last 5 years. Experience with booking and scheduling patient appointments, chart management including documenting orders, understanding of clinic workflow/processes, telephone etiquette and skills. 1-year previous experience working within EMR systems (preferably Connect Care). Current CPR required. Experience and proficient using the following Microsoft programs: Word, Excel and Outlook. Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of experience providing administrative support in an Ophthalmology clinic. Minimum 2 years’ experience providing administrative support in an outpatient/ambulatory setting within the last 5 years. Completion of Unit Clerk or Medical Office Assistant course. Completion of a Medical Terminology course. Health records management experience. Experience working within Connect Care scheduling appointment, working with pools, and work queues.
