Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:A one year Unit Clerk certificate (with practicum component) from a recognized post-secondary institution as well as a recognized course in medical terminology is required. Must have at least two years of acute care Unit Clerk experience. Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail is required. The candidate must have the ability to prioritize independently and appropriately in an atmosphere of competing demands and frequent interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications:Training and experience with scheduling or time entry in ESP and/or experience with unit based staffing/payroll is preferred. Experience working with diverse communities, groups and/or organizations (i.e. ethno-cultural, equity-setting, racialized, faith-based, 2S LGBTQI+, vulnerable, marginalized, persons with disabilities, and persons across all age groups, etc.).
