Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum one year Unit Clerk experience. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous interruptions, noise, and changing demands. Able to lift, push, or pull more than 35 pounds. Bending, lifting, walking long distances at times as well as long periods of sitting is required. Computer keyboarding skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to prioritize and manage stress. Must be able to have difficult conversations with patients, other staff and visitors. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in an acute care or Inpatient department. Experience in Oncology/Hematology department. Experience with Connect Care. Experience in process improvement.
