As Unit Clerk at Rocky Mountain House Acute Care and ER, you are responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will require in-depth computer knowledge and skills which will assist you in maintaining patient records and charts. The position is also responsible for scheduling of staff replacement and other related duties as assigned. Your strong organizational, interpersonal skills and ability to problem solve will allow you to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner in this dynamic and evolving work environment. Rocky Mountain House is located I hour west of Red Deer along the North Saskatchewan River. One statement that could describe Rocky Mountain House is recreational playground. Description:
As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.
