Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.

Additional Required Qualifications:

6 months to 1 year (recent within 1 year) experience as a Unit Clerk in an Acute Care in-patient unit . Ability to work in a highly acute and fast-paced patient care area. Adapt to frequent interruptions and require strong interpersonal skills. Strong organization skills, with the ability to prioritize work and problem solve. Ability to tolerate constant sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, reaching and sustained posture within a fast-paced unit requiring lifting, pushing, pulling of objects greater than 20 lbs. Proficient in the following computer skills: Sunrise Clinical Manager, Clinibase, Microsoft Office. Medical Terminology required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as Unit Clerk in Foothills Medical Centre Cardiac Sciences.
