Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a Medical Terminology course required. Minimum of one-year recent experience as a Unit Clerk in a primary care setting required. Required to have Connect Care knowledge. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and adapt to frequent interruptions in work activities as well as changing demands with strong attention to detail. Effective interpersonal communication and customer service skills, cross cultural sensitivity, strong organizational skills, with capacity for self-direction and autonomous practice is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a Family Health and Urgent Care setting preferred. Knowledge and skills in computerized admission/discharge/transfer systems.
