Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:2-year diploma in recreation therapy/rehabilitation field. Previous experience working in clinical/rehabilitation settings and/or with persons who have disabilities. Must be capable of remaining focused with continuous patient treatments, standing for long periods. Must be capable of transferring patients and portering patients with pushing/pulling wheelchairs both indoors and outdoors. Effective communication with a patient-centered focus. Demonstrating behaviours consistent with the values of AHS: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and safety.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Connect Care is an asset. Experience with aquatic therapy is an asset.
