Completion of a post-secondary education in a related trade or technology program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have a Trade Certification or post-secondary Technical Diploma in a related field: HVAC/R Technician, BEST certificate, Electrical, Refrigeration. Must be able to communicate clearly in English, verbally and writing. Must have a minimum of (5) five years’ experience in HVAC / BMS controls and building maintenance preferably in a hospital setting. Strong preference for knowledge of Delta Control systems and networks. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel. Knowledge of indoor air quality, HVAC system troubleshooting and ability to review drawings and specifications. Knowledge of energy management strategies and digital control systems is required. Excellent problem-solving skills required to successfully analyze and resolve system related problems.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of established safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. On the job training (WHMIS, SOP’s, OHS, E-Facilities, etc.). Delta controls an asset. BMS logic programming. PLC programming experience. ABSA certification would be an asset.
