Your Opportunity:

The Digital Media Services (DMS) team at Alberta Health Services is looking for an experienced Team Lead to lead the planning and execution of continuous quality management, educational and digital media that support patient care and corporate initiatives. The DMS team produce and host videos and other digital media that support province-wide initiatives. Typical events and productions that support the training, informing and education of staff, patients and families include staff training and clinical demonstrations, internal presentations, public board meetings, grand openings and Connect Care related projects. DMS also manages a provincial digital signage service to inform and educate patients, public and staff within AHS facilities through the provision or coordination of site assessments, technology recommendations, inventory control, training and content hosting.

Description:

Reporting to the Provincial Manager Telehealth Operations, the Provincial Lead, Digital Media Services (DMS) is responsible and accountable for providing strategy and operations management, evaluation and reporting support for media production, provincial digital signage, technology adoption and evaluation projects performed by the DMS team for AHS and subsidiary departments. Utilizing expertise and knowledge of best practices, the DMS Team lead will be responsible to lead the planning and execution of continuous quality management, educational and digital media initiatives that support patient care or provide information and education for staff, patients and families. This position requires someone with a strong foundation in providing strategy and operations management, evaluation and reporting support for media production, provincial digital signage, and technology adoption and evaluation projects performed by the DMS team for AHS and subsidiary departments. Collaborative engagement with a variety of clinical and administrative internal client groups and external stakeholders and vendors is critical for success.

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge in audio/video editing tools & Content Delivery Networks (CDN). Strategic thinking & creative problem-solving skills. Understand digital content development and experience developing and executing communications strategies across digital and traditional media channels to various target audiences. Ability to communicate clearly & collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including presentations, technical writing and learning technology trends and issues. Knowledge of client groups supported and best practices applicable to IT and AHS. Strong organizational & planning skills with multiple priorities and deadlines. Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Experience with qualitative & quantitative research, capturing data & managing statistical information. Advanced computer skills including MS Office & social media platforms.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher related to communications and information technologies, education, public relations or business administration. Minimum 7 years’ experience in Digital Media Technology within a healthcare setting. 5 years’ in-depth working knowledge of AHS business processes and workflows. Valid driver's license.
