Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Must be eligible for appointment as a Community Peace Officer with enforcement duties involving the public, as identified by the Province of Alberta/Solicitor General. Successful completion of Alberta Health Services or Alberta Justice and Solicitor General Community Peace Officer Induction Training Program (6 weeks). Valid Class 5, non-GDL Driver’s License. Valid PARE completed (under 4:45) within 6 months prior to training.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of five (5) years of related experience and/or relevant education. . Ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity (healthcare experience an asset). Public speaking capabilities. Proven multi-tasking and effective decision-making abilities in a fast paced, stressful environment. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years post-secondary education in Law Enforcement, Social Studies, or Security & Asset protection. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Health Care experience is an asset. 2 years Management Experience. Current First Aid and CPR Level C – AED certification
