Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Physically capable of frequent heavy lifting and moving of objects up to 40 kg. Physically capable of pushing and pulling heavy carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275kg.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Knowledge/experience with Oracle (iProcurement, Asset inventories, and internal ordering). Experience in health care procurement and shipping/receiving processes, warehousing and material handling. Tracking supplies and equipment and resolve work related issue related to picking, packing and shipping. Monitoring inventory levels and back orders. Stock rotation (First in First Out). Responding to requests from other sites in regards to supplies and equipment. Record-keeping and documentation. Proven interpersonal and organization abilities with the ability to problem solve quickly and accurately. Ability to function cohesively as a team player, working interdependently with co-workers, dealing with constant interruptions, and multiple requests. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, customers and vendors. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner required. Reliable, cooperative and able to communicate effectively in order to deliver a high standard Service Model. The ability to make basic mathematical calculations is necessary. Knowledge and understanding of aseptic technique required. The capability to work within established routines is essential. Must have the ability to maintain confidential information. Valid class "5" Alberta driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of infection control practices and understanding of sterility is an asset. Experience with the computerized Inventory Control System Oracle P2P (R12) & with handheld barcode technology. Experience handling Medical/Surgical supplies and knowledge of physical inventory management.
