Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275 Kgs. Must be capable of walking and or standing for long periods of time. Must regularly use hand and arms to reach, lift, and carry heavy items up to 25 kg.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Required - recent experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing and material handling within a hospital setting. Required – recent experience with computerized inventory control software. Required to work sitting at a desk/computer or to stand for extended periods of time. Required to lift up to 30 lb and occasionally 50 lb. Required to push/pull carts. Preferred – experience with computers, Microsoft software, data input. Preferred – certificate of training in Transportation of Dangerous Goods. Preferred – training in Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition, a successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following: Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task. Demonstrated ability work within multi-disciplinary teams. Committed to continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning.
