Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275 Kgs. Must be capable of walking and or standing for long periods of time. Must regularly use hand and arms to reach, lift, and carry heavy items up to 25 kg.
Additional Required Qualifications:The successful candidate must be able to push and pull heavy stock carts weighing up to 275kgs, to be able to stand and walk for the duration of your shift and perform repetitive physical movements. This individual may be required to drive an electric powered pallet jack in a safe and courteous manner, in hospital hallways where foot traffic of public and hospital staff is common. Also, the successful candidate will inspect carts and equipment to identify safety issues or possible defects. A minimum 2 years’ experience with competence in a computerized environment is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Being familiar with the physical layout of Chinook Regional Hospital, product material handling in a hospital setting and previous WHMIS and TDG training will be considered an asset. Having an understanding of inventory processes and software will benefit the successful candidate.
