Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Social Work. (equivalent education or experience may be considered). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years' experience in the mental health field required. Minimum 2 years working within a community mental health program required. Experience working with a Forensic mental health population. Active working knowledge of current Mental Health legislation. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills & interviewing techniques. Domestic Violence Group therapy skills. In-depth knowledge of mental health/mental illness. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Experience providing therapy and psychosocial interventions required. Training in CBT, DBT, Group Psychotherapy, Family therapy &/or other endorsed forms of therapy is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent community mental health experience working with Forensic populations preferred. Active working knowledge of Criminal Justice Systems preferred. Couples & Family therapy an asset. Knowledge of current Domestic Violence and general violence risk tools preferred.
