Master's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrate 3-5 years' experience in a health care setting, preferably working with individuals and families in the end stage of life. Demonstrate ability to navigate within a complex medical system and function within a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment. Working knowledge of programs and systems including Microsoft Office Suite, Meditech, Connect Care, Netcare, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of relevant legislative Acts and experience with guardianship, trusteeship, personal directives and capacity assessment processes is an asset. In-depth knowledge and in working with Income Support programs at a community/provincial/federal level (AISH, Alberta Works, CPP, OAS, ASB) is preferred. Comfortable working with clients and families of all ages and in various stages of grief and loss.
