Your Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to be a member of the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT). Reporting to the Care Manager, the Social Worker will provide assertive, client focused, culturally appropriate, recovery-oriented care to adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, addictions and houselessness. ACT works primarily with individuals whose illness presents a barrier to engagement in treatment. Clinical services are most often delivered through outreach services in the community, and in partnership and collaboration with clients, families, other providers, inner city agencies, and community programs. ACT also has a partnership with Homeward Trust Edmonton. As part of the multi-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a variety of social work services, including working with housing providers and additional care teams to assist ACT clients in their housing. Comprehensive awareness of housing resources and an understanding of personal and systemic housing barriers is essential. This position requires skill in assessment of risk, mental status, and addictions. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. By applying on this posting, if you are the successful candidate, you agree to and will become an employee of Recovery Alberta.
