Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Considerable initiative and judgement and the ability to work independently in community settings is essential. Basic computer skills. Previous experience working with palliative, end of life, domestic violence and mental health issues. 2 – 5 years social work experience in a health care setting required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in Home Care or community setting. Experience in community work is preferred. Experience working within an interdisciplinary team environment is preferred. Knowledge of and experience with guardianship, trusteeship and capacity assessment processes is an asset. In-depth knowledge and experience in working with Income Security programs at community/provincial/federal levels (Alberta Works, AISH, CPP) is preferred.
