Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

The candidate must have at least 2 years of Social Worker experience with one year in a community based setting (Home Care experience preferred). Must have current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) from Heart and Stroke Foundation within the last 12 months. You will be required to operate a laptop computer and mobile phone, and for manual handling (lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing and pulling) as a regular part of the job. For example: lifting of approximately 5-10 pounds in and out of a vehicle on a regular basis and carrying this weight up and down stairs throughout the day is common within this job. Learning resources and training are provided to safely perform work.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience with mental health, addictions, trauma informed care and complex client behaviors. Additional experience working with acute clients and/or long term clients with a focus on chronic disease management, recent experience in a community based setting. Home Care experience is an asset.
