Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience working diverse and marginalized populations including mental illness, using an equity, diversity, inclusion lens. Knowledge and application of trauma informed care. Understanding of the impact of Indigenous people’s history, culture and of reconciliation. Knowledge and application of harm reduction and risk mitigation approaches. Extensive knowledge of community resources tailored to clients with moderate to severe mental illness. Understanding of the Calgary Zone continuum of Addiction and Mental Health Services. Knowledge of Calgary zone and provincial resources for social determinant of health. Including how to access these resources example but not limited to AISH and Housing applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in health care or settings with transferable experiences is preferred, e.g. (Human Service Agencies, Primary Care Networks, etc.).
