Completion of diploma in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 6 months experience working in an acute care or community setting. Minimum 4 months working with clients or patients who experience substance use disorders and/or homelessness. Demonstrated knowledge of Harm Reduction principles. Demonstrated knowledge of Calgary Zone community resources. Demonstrated assessment and intervention skills. Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated effective collaboration within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience in acute care, with community agencies for housing, income and identification purposes, and working with marginalized populations. Ability to form relationships with community partners for health and social needs. Demonstrated knowledge of Alberta Government social supports application processes (i.e., AISH). Current BCLS – HCP, NVCI, Connect Care. Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize competing demands.
