Completion of an accredited nursing education program (BSCN). Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a complex acute care hospital setting. Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated organization, analytical, judgment and decision making skills. Exceptional leadership abilities demonstrated by developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships, conflict management and team building skills. Ability to manage and prioritize a demanding workload and work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters prepared in Nursing, Health Administration, Public Health, Leadership, or Business. Work experience in an Emergency Department, Critical Care area, Bed Management/Allocation, and Management an asset.
