Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous 2 years’ experience in an Acute Care medical/surgical environment. Current Move safe. WHMIS training. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific procedures for cleaning and equipment management. Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, particularly in relation to high-risk patient populations. Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously within a multidisciplinary team and take direction when needed. Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills. Proficient in the use of cleaning equipment and supplies. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities. Must be able to read, write and speak English proficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Has recent experience working in acute care within Alberta Health Services and is familiar with various products and protocols.
