A Master’s or research-based degree in a health-related field. Relevant project management specific education, training, or certification in project management from an accredited institution.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Five years of progressive experience in project management, including knowledge of project management principles, tools and methodologies. Considerable experience with coordinating/leading teams through project planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a unique project environment where project resources and subject matter experts have limited availability to contribute; demonstrated ability to move projects forward within these constraints. Highly effective communicator with demonstrated skill in verbal and written communication; ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult situations. Ability to develop and facilitate presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Strong facilitation and mediation skills. Demonstrated application of change management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional designation in project management. Experience working directly with clinicians. Experience leading project teams and large projects within a healthcare organization. Significant experience in critical-thinking, analysis, problem-solving. Experience managing physical and human resources and related financial / statistical information. 3 years of experience working in a healthcare organization of significant size, complexity and diversity.
