Masters level degree in health related discipline with evaluation and research experience. A minimum of ten year’s experience in healthcare education, leadership or professional development role in an organization of significant size complexity and diversity. Practice license and professional registration, as appropriate to the discipline, in one of the following disciplines: Audiology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology recreation therapy, respiratory therapy, speech-language pathology, spiritual care, or social work.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of the clinical research processes in Alberta and linkages with external academic institutions. Tactical and operational thinking, taking into account short, mid and long-term goals assessing options and implications. Including project management skill and experience. Experience in conducting and appraising research; Extensive experience with research methodologies, systematic reviews, evidence synthesis, or health management. Demonstrated commitment to equity diversity and inclusion principles in health and research settings. Working knowledge of the key components of professional practice and practical experience in professional practice. Proven ability to foster partnerships and achieve organizational goals within a large and complex organization. A client focused orientation with excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills. Experience in using a variety of technologies, visual, written and interactive tactics. Excellent analytical reasoning and problem solving skills. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and experience. Demonstrated skill in fostering and supporting interprofessional and patient engagement; ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with provincial, zone and site leaders in operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Adjunct title (lecturer or professor) at an Alberta academic institution strongly encouraged. Extensive experience working in a health research environment; experience in epidemiology, statistics, public health, or a related field is preferred.
