Senior Financial Analyst
Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, Budgeting, the Senior Financial Analyst supports all aspects of the AHS annual detailed budgeting process including coordinating budget loads, reconciling and verifying detailed budget information, assisting and collaborating with multiple AHS Finance stakeholders, calculating financial implications of planning decisions, implementing and maintaining budget processes. This is a dynamic position requiring interactions and collaboration with different areas of finance and requires the ability to create strong partnerships with key stakeholders. This position. This position requires strong understanding of financial knowledge and the ability to apply that understanding to a financial planning and budgeting context. There are 2 positions available.
Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Budget and Forecast Team and contributes to the overall Financial Planning objectives by ensuring that budget related information is reliable, complete and accurate. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst: Assist with all detailed budgeting processes including coordinating detailed budget loads, reconciling budget information for accuracy and completeness, assist with the completion of compensation and benefits budget analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst is required to establish strong relationships with other areas in the organization by building trust and working collaboratively with others, assist in responding to ad-hoc requests by Finance Senior Leadership and AHS Executives. The Senior Financial Analyst is also required to contribute to the success of the Budget and Forecasting team by participating in regular team meetings, supporting Finance goals and priorities, identifying potential areas of risks and improvements and looking for opportunities to be more efficient and effective.

A minimum of a post-secondary degree in business administration, finance, accounting or a relating discipline. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial planning or financial advisory role.
Additional Required Qualifications:Strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate ability to communicate and work effectively with others. Demonstrate ability to think and act strategically and solve problems with minimum supervision. Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in an ambiguous environment, including having strong time management, proficient organization skills and the ability to balance working independently and with others. Proven ability to provide financial consultation to senior managers and directs. Demonstrated ability to work with complex financial information with advanced working knowledge and comfort in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) or MBA. Experience with Hyperion and Oracle GL is a plus. Previous experience in an organization of similar size and complexity. Previous experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.
