The Innovation and Digital Solutions Team at Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for an experienced Senior Digital Experience Advisor for a year temporary position. Innovation and Digital Solutions is committed to creating valuable and innovative digital experiences. We transform complex problems into digital solutions that are valuable to Albertans and AHS staff members. The Senior Digital Experience Advisor will be working on a project with Alberta Virtual Pain Program (AVPP). This program supports people living with pain, with a current focus on chronic pain. This multi-disciplinary team includes allied health professionals and peer support workers. They deliver virtual group services, targeted webinars on topics relevant to chronic pain, and foster improved self-management strategies using virtual technology. The team uses evidence-based resources as a guiding principle for all services created and delivered. To help make the program successful, digital tools and solutions are needed. The Senior Digital Experience Advisor will be the key person helping meet digital needs of the AVPP. Collaboration with the multi-disciplinary teams, designers, program lead, medical leads, and program manager will be essential for a successful project. Senior digital experience advisors at AHS are excellent analytical and conceptual thinkers who translate user needs, business objectives and technology capabilities into innovative solutions. This position requires someone with a strong foundation in user-centered design methods focused on information architecture and the ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders and colleagues.
Description:
Reporting to the director of Digital Experience- , the Senior Digital Experience Advisor will be involved in all aspects of the information architecture, design and build process focussed on the needs of the AVPP which will include steps from user research utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods, information architecture, conceptualizing, storyboarding, detailed design support, updating web content, building new pages, optimizing search and working with information technology, health literacy and allied health teams to bring designs to life. Success depends on close collaboration and partnerships with end-users and subject matter experts, as well as technology professionals.

A degree in web design, design, user experience, multimedia, user centered design approach, digital communications and/or communications (or equivalent). Minimum of five years practical experience in information architecture, web content management, web design and user centered design approach. Solid understanding of responsive design and mobile standards. Solid understanding of web user experience and design patterns, including industry best practices. Ability to create and define information architecture, web layout, including wireframes and visual mock-ups, based on complex requirements. Understanding and experience with interaction design, and user research methods and tools Able to Identify and evaluate potential opportunities to improve existing web, apps, mobile and interactive designs. Ensure development of consistent user experience across all areas of the website. Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to present to a variety of audiences, and mentor other members of the web team. Proven interpersonal skills, client relations skills and ability to work in a multi-stakeholder and multi-team environment. Experience with project management.
Additional Required Qualifications:Strong project management skills including measuring project performance using appropriate project management tools, aligning projects with business objectives, constructing detailed work plans, achieving milestones, and communicating the results. Facilitation skills.
