Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Master’s or research based degree in a health related field. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Extensive knowledge of the health system. Demonstrated working knowledge of quality improvement, research methods, systematic reviews and critical appraisal skills. Strong facilitation and mediation skills. Experience managing physical and human resources and related financial / statistical information. Significant experience in problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation. Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Acts as a liaison between the SCNs and the Patient Advisors associated with the SCNs. Gather, analyze, synthesize and where necessary coordinate leading practices, quantitative and qualitative data to inform recommendations leading to the development of provincial strategic plans and new approaches to care delivery. Work with SCN team to complete SCN functions to support Transformational roadmap, implementation and evaluation of projects, challenge dialogue, capability assessment, and mining for innovation and core committee requirements, as required. Develop and present innovative approaches to address system issues with sustainable solutions. Guide evaluation of SCN activities and development performance measures/targets in concert with others. Carry out the quality and planning related functions identified by SCN priority projects/ initiatives. Link with appropriate departments within AHS to coordinate access to available services.


Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years experience in quality improvement, knowledge management or research and or management in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred (healthcare experience an asset).
