A minimum of a Master’s or research-based degree in a health-related field. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Indigenous health.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of the health system. Demonstrated working knowledge of quality improvement, research methods, systematic reviews and critical appraisal skills. Change management skills, knowledge translation, and human relations is essential. Solid knowledge and understanding of Indigenous health and First Nations principles of OCAP – Ownership, Control, Access and Possession. Experience developing frameworks, reports, and plans (business, work, strategic, action, and implementation plans). Strong ability to plan, organize and manage short and long term projects and deliver results on multidisciplinary projects that involve multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated skill in data analysis and synthesis within both Western and Indigenous paradigms. Strong facilitation and mediation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and/or experience with Alberta provincial government considered an asset . Experience in working directly with an Indigenous community(s). A minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality improvement, knowledge management or research and or management in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred. Healthcare experience an asset.
