A minimum of a Master’s Degree (MN, MHSA, MBA, MSc or equivalent) in a health related discipline plus appropriate licenses and designations. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a health care environment of a significant size, complexity and diversity.
Additional Required Qualifications:In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: A demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development. Demonstrated commitment to the engagement of patients, families, staff, clinicians and physicians. Demonstrated commitment to and application of Patient and Family Centred Care principles and practices in an health care setting. Experience in strategy and policy development, and the ability to think strategically, taking into account long-term goals, options and implications. Experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change. Significant experience in problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation and negotiations. Effective organizational and communication skills with the ability to influence; a client- focused orientation and a commitment to providing quality services. Demonstrated ability to foster partnerships and cooperation to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization. Excellent writing and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Certification and/or education in project management, change management, International Association of Public Participation (IAP2), Institute for Patient and Family-Centered Care Intensive Training Seminar, clinical education and/or process improvement is preferred. Experience as a clinician or working in clinical environments is an asset.
