Your Opportunity:

The Senior Consultant, Physician Experience, is a professional role within the HSS Medical Affairs, Physician Experience team. The position is responsible and accountable for planning, development, organization, and delivery of projects that support effective integration of Medical Affairs and medical staff-related strategies between PHCs and PHAs as well as between other HSS teams. The Senior Consultant must maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in order to provide project leadership to and oversee related programs and services. The role commonly will interact with Medical Affairs in HSS as well as with PHCs and PHAs as well as with medical leadership and medical staff. At times the role may interact with external stakeholders such as the Alberta Medical Association, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, Alberta Health and the two Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry in the province. This role has a focus on team building and restorative practices for medical staff and medical leadership groups. A focus on change management and ability to facilitate and provide education to groups is also a major part of this role. Assessing and executing medical staff and medical leader engagement across the PHAs and PHCs to ensure that work of the team is aligned as well as understanding what needs still need to be met.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline Minimum of 5 -7 years of related experience, preferably in a healthcare environment


Additional Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Health Administration, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. PROSCI Change Management certification, Certified Executive Coach, Mediation Certification


Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Medical Staff Bylaws and physician governance Advanced skills in adult education, advanced facilitation skills, project management skills, strategic thinking - considering long-term goals assessing options and implications, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services, ability to write clearly and succinctly about complex issues
