A minimum of 7 years progressive benefits and pension experience in an organization of significant size and complexity. Experience administering flexible benefit and defined benefit pension plans. Capable of interpreting policies and plan documents to make decisions and recommendations. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to assess performance and provide ongoing development. Strong analytical, problem solving, and resolution skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience with HR Information Systems, preferably PeopleSoft, is required. Ability to use Excel to collate data and create templates.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Chartered Professional Human Resources (CPHR), Group Benefits Associate (GBA), or Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) certification desired. Expertise in public sector HR administration, project management, business process improvement, or quality assurance is an asset.
