Your Opportunity:

As a Senior Advisor for Data & Analytics (DnA) Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) Data Protection Team, on behalf of the DnA Repository Owners, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining DnA data protection with AHS Policy/Legislative Requirements specific to the Secondary Use of Health Information. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain DnA EDG specific standards, best practices, and controls to govern and protect DnA data assets. Your role will involve identifying, analyzing, and mitigation risks associated with data management, integrity, privacy, and security. You will provide guidance and support the business on data-related matters and work towards continuous improvement of the data governance program, with a particular focus on data classification, data protection, and data access. The repository owner is the individual(s) responsible for defining the processes and controls for the assessment, storage, security, privacy, and disposition of the information in a repository. Regulatory requirements include Alberta legislation such as the Health Information Act (HIA); Public Health Act (PHA); Freedom of Information, Privacy and Protection Act (FOIPP); provincial regulations.
